Community Planning
Community Planning aims to bring together public bodies such as the Council, Police Scotland, NHS and Fire and Rescue Service with communities, businesses, charities and voluntary groups. Together they plan and deliver better services to improve people’s lives.
Since we were established EaRN has been a key part of the community planning structure in Edinburgh. The network is represented on the Edinburgh Partnership Board by Paul Wilson, Chief Officer of Volunteer Edinburgh. This board is chaired by the leader of the City of Edinburgh Council and has strategic oversight and responsibility for Edinburgh’s Community Plan.
In addition the EaRN Development Worker sits on the LOIP Delivery Group which is tasked with delivering Edinburgh’s Community Plan (known as the Local Outcome Improvement Plan or ‘LOIP’).
We are committed to being as transparent and representative as possible in our approach.
