Edinburgh’s Equality and Rights Network (EaRN) marked the end of the first year of funding with a collaborative event to discuss the city’s equality and rights priorities for 2016-17.
This event entitled EaRN’s 1st Birthday: Looking Back, Planning Forward saw Edinburgh citizens, third sector organisations and public sector representatives gather together to participate in discussions around equality and rights.
Over 50 people attended, with around 25 representing local organisations, projects and community groups, 12 public sector representatives, and the rest a mix of individuals and EaRN Equalities Ambassadors.
We produced a report on this event to summarise some of the issues discussed and to present some possible actions, including some specifically for EaRN going forward.
